Coming from one of racing’s most respected families, Ollie Sangster has made an excellent start to his training career from the historic Manton Estate near Marlborough. Manton is one of the most iconic training establishments in British racing and has been closely associated with the Sangster family since its purchase by Robert Sangster in 1984.
Before taking out his own licence, Ollie gained experience with some of the best horsemen in the world, including Wesley Ward in the USA, Joseph O'Brien in Ireland, as well as spells with David Hayes, Hugo Palmer and Charlie Hills. That international grounding has helped shape a stable which combines strong horsemanship with a modern and ambitious approach.
Despite still being in the early stages of his training career, Ollie has already enjoyed success at the highest level. In 2025, he saddled both the second and third home in the 1000 Guineas Stakes with Flight and Simmering — a remarkable achievement for such a young trainer and a sign of the exciting future ahead for the Manton stable.
