Tullig Coyote
To be trained by Maxine Locke, Central Park
"Wally"
A lightly raced Lee Strand Stakes pup with serious middle pace — and one we believe could develop into a top-class competition dog.
The next Pompey Ventures
Greyhound Syndicate has finally arrived!
Tullig Coyote Joins The PV Kennel
Although Pompey Ventures is primarily known for our racehorse syndicates, the greyhound division continues to go from strength to strength — and demand for shares in our dogs has been incredible.
Following the success we’ve already enjoyed on the greyhound track, we are delighted to announce the latest addition to the PV kennel…
Purchased privately for £15,000, Tullig Coyote first caught our eye in the prestigious Lee Strand Stakes, where he ran well in behind two very classy pups.
Lightly raced and still learning, we feel there could be plenty more improvement to come.
One of the biggest things that stood out to us was his running style. Despite currently being seeded as a wide runner, we actually believe he is much better suited to a middle seed — something we feel could bring out even more from him going forward.
Already showing strong form over 550 yards (505m), he's a dog who travels powerfully through his races, showing the kind of middle pace that could prove deadly once everything clicks into place.
We have agreed to leave him with his current trainer, Morty Ahern, for the next couple of weeks while he contests the semi-final of the Lee Strand on Friday — and hopefully progresses to the final the following week.
Following the competition, Wally, as he's known at home, will then head to leading UK trainer Maxine Locke, where he will continue his racing career under her care.
He’s a pup we are hugely excited about and he very much feels the type who could develop into a top-class competition dog.
