We think this filly could be well bought at only €21,000!
Purchased for just €21,000 and qualified for the Goffs €2 Million Series, she caught our eye from the very start.
On paper, there was plenty to like — her dam, Fellbeck, has produced fillies rated 80+ in 50% of her previous foals, a strike rate that immediately stood out to us, along with her 75% winners-to-runners record, which includes a seven-time winner in Italy. She is also very well related to some smart black type performers.
But it was seeing her in the flesh that confirmed our view.
She’s a big, elegant filly with plenty of presence, but what you don’t always get with that size is movement — and she’s surprisingly light on her feet.
Dave, the PV partner who sources our unraced horses, was quick to flag her as an "eye catching physical with real potential"
He felt she moved very well, had good size and scope, and was a filly we just had to take seriously.
By dual Group 1-winning sprinter Twilight Son and out of a mare with a very solid record at stud, she ticks plenty of boxes on paper — but once we saw her in the flesh, we knew she was coming home with us!
Since joining Ollie, she has been given time to grow and develop, and that patience looks to have done her plenty of good. Goldsmith Avenue has developed into a lovely, big filly who is handling her work well, and is now starting to step things up, with Ollie expecting her to start over 7f in the coming weeks.
Goffs are once again offering a huge incentive to purchase yearlings from the Orby sales in the form of the Goffs Two Millions series which includes twenty €50,000 Goffs Bonuses awarded to the winners of a series of 2YO Maidens run in UK and Ireland throughout the year.
We are confident that her €21,000 purchase price will see this filly creep into the Band D restricted races for the 2026 season, opening the door to some very valuable targets. Typically worth £3-5,000 to the winner, these races will now be worth significantly more to us, with the addition of these €50,000 bonuses, presenting a fantastic incentive and some exciting opportunities to aim at.
The Fifth and Final Addition to our Yearling Crop
This gorgeous daughter of Twilight Son is the fifth & final addition to our yearling crop. Unlike other syndicates, we can only fire a limited amount of bullets, whilst mostly working on a sub £40k budget, so we need to make sure our aim is steady and every bullet counts!
Having had success at this sale last year, buying the progressive Dublin Bay, (also trained by Ollie) for a similar price, we were keen to return to Goffs Ireland and look for the perfect horse to target these lucrative races with. After viewing this filly we knew she was ideal for us and we feel we have found a real gem at this price.
Ollie was so keen to ensure she joined Team PV, he even joined us for bidding on this one and has chosen to take a sizeable share himself, along with the PV team.

The response to our naming competition genuinely took us by surprise. We received over 550 individual entries and over 1500 names and it was lovely to see how many people had taken an interest in this filly before she has even made it to the racecourse.
It also got us thinking.
We know larger shares are not for everyone, so to mark Goldsmith Avenue officially being named, we’ve decided to make a limited number of smaller 1.25% shares available.
It means a few more people can get involved with her before she makes her debut, while still keeping the ownership group small, personal and properly involved — which is what PV has always been about.
