Today we fired our biggest ever bullet and secured this incredibly impressive colt, a full brother to 95 rated Fairy Oak, at the Goffs Premier Yearling sale.
This colt, by Royal Ascot-winning sprinter A’Ali, was our absolute NAP of the sale.
He was a knockout physical and each time we viewed him, he stepped out effortlessly, with a good attitude making it very clear he had a good head on him.
He impressed us all with his strength and athleticism, especially for a March foal.
We consider him a yearling with the class and precocity to carry our colours at Royal Ascot, just as his sister did, who was 5th in the Albany Stakes and holds an entry in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at The Curragh.
We headed into the sales ring (accompanied by a camera and Oli Bell!) fully expecting him to be the most expensive purchase we have ever made.
He was underbid by Amo Racing, who had outbid us twice on previous lots, which is a statement in itself to the sort of stock the PV Team are looking to add to our ranks.
We were in full agreement that there was no way we were leaving the sale without him!
We have already enjoyed two very successful years on the track, consistently recruiting Ollie’s best Colts and Geldings & we are currently responsible for a third of the yards winners this year.
Next year we are aiming to up our game and take it to the next level and we hope this is horse to do this!
This purchase is a statement that we are here to stay & looking to progress through the ranks, out of handicaps…
The demand for our stock is amazing at the moment and we’re truly humbled. We have just 2.5% remaining in, what we hope, will be a Royal Ascot level juvenile…
