For some time we have mentioned to PV Greyhound guv’nor, Paul Lawrence (PL), that we would be keen to welcome another dog into our ranks. It’s taken six months. But now, we have done just that…

Welcome ‘TULLIG COYOTE’ aka Wally.

Wally is in the Semi Finals of the Lee Strand competition at Tralee this weekend and after a smart first round display, PL was straight on the phone to see if we could pick him up. He wasn’t cheap, but we managed to get him below what PL anticipated.

Although we are primarily a horse racing ownership syndicate, one of the most viewed pages on the website & most frequently requested syndicates are actually for greyhounds!

​Our greyhound syndicates are run in exactly the same way as our horse syndicates, with shares available from 5% upwards and offer a very exciting opportunity for a relatively small outlay and monthly cost.

We take the purchasing of our pups very seriously and all our greyhounds are purchased with the help and expertise of Paul Lawrence.​

​Who is Paul Lawrence & why should I trust his judgement?​​​​​​
​
Paul & his partner Lorraine have been involved with Greyhounds their whole lives. Paul has made his living from betting on Greyhounds for many years & is also involved in the commentary for the Derby along with being on ‘Gone to the Dogs’.
Lorraine used to train greyhounds and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the sport & its competitors.

Needless to add, both are absolutely top class humans!

​​Paul has so far purchased 4 dogs for us, two of which were open race & multiple A1 winners, including the superstar that is Fratton Bark - who won his first SIX races back to back. Something that is unheard of!!
His most recent purchase with Pompey Ventures is Turnthemagicon, who, after placing 3rd in an Irish puppy competition and earning his owners €2300 prize money in only 3 runs, is looking like a VERY exciting prospect!​

What is a PV greyhound syndicate?
Just like our racehorse syndicates, it gives the opportunity for anyone to be a greyhound owner and share all the excitement that comes with greyhound ownership without the expense of being a sole owner.
How do greyhound syndicates work?
We purchase the pup, assisted by our resident Greyhound Expert, Paul Lawrence, (AKA PL!) then split the purchase into 10 equal shares. Prices will vary depending on the initial purchase price. Training fees are then paid monthly at the agreed rate.
Can I watch my dog race?
Absolutely! Greyhound racing is a great night out! Your dog will run fairly frequently, usually every week, apart from breaks, so you will have plenty of opportunity to watch him race, and hopefully get the chance to visit the winners podium to collect the owners trophy!
