Dublin Bay was a horse who we absolutely loved as a yearling. He was a strong and athletic colt who’s fluency in his movement was extremely eye-catching to us. When he arrived at Ollie’s he was showing plenty of signs that he was a horse who seemed to have ability.
He struggled in maiden and novice company running in two very good races at both Ascot and Salisbury, before reacting badly to the hood at Bath.
He was awarded an opening mark of 53… although the handicapper had started to notice that maybe he took the Bath run a little too literally & nudged him up 4lb just in his box!
He was always a coltish individual, even after his gelding operation, but he seems to have let go of his boisterous pre-race antics and is now a much more relaxed and composed individual.
