A corker with a proven cross!
We struck on day one at Goffs with this beastly son of Oasis Dream.
He is a corker — a big, strong, scopey colt who we held in very high regard from the moment we saw him. Dave was adamant he was the best colt at the sale within our price range and we certainly weren’t alone in liking him, with some very good judges also keen to buy. So when our tactic worked - to swoop in late and get him for £62,000 with our one and only bid - we were absolutely delighted!
He has a big frame and still has plenty of developing to do, which is one of the things we liked about him. We think he will only improve physically as he fills out over the coming months.
The pedigree was another big positive. He is by Oasis Dream out of an Australia mare, and the Oasis Dream × Australia nick has already produced a 97-rated black-type filly from its only runner to date - Desert Spring, She was a 12 length winner and has since finished third in the Group 3 Bronte Cup at York. It is a cross we were very keen on when assessing him at the sale.
He will be trained by Ollie Sangster at Manton, who has once again retained a sizeable share himself.
Being bought at the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale also opens up some valuable opportunities. He is eligible for the additional £250,000 Goffs bonuses and will be campaigned with the valuable York sales race in mind — the same race in which It Dunt Marra picked up £15,000 for us this year.
There is now just 5% left in what we think is a very smart colt.

Stallion Spotlight
Oasis Dream
Oasis Dream needs very little introduction. A top-class sprinter himself, he has gone on to become one of Juddmonte’s most successful and enduring stallions, producing Group 1 winners over a wide range of distances.
His record speaks for itself, with 18 individual Group 1 winners and 72 Group winners. They include six-time Group 1 winner Midday, Champion Sprinter Muhaarar and, more recently, Champion two-year-old and Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Native Trail.
His influence now extends well beyond his own runners. Showcasing has become a hugely successful sire in his own right, while Muhaarar and Native Trail have also joined the stallion ranks, ensuring the Oasis Dream line will continue for years to come.
After 23 seasons at Banstead Manor Stud, Oasis Dream was retired from covering duties in 2026, bringing to a close an exceptional stud career.

PEDIGREE DEEP DIVE
Oasis Dream brings an established sprinting pedigree, while the dam line adds Group-race quality and depth.
This colt is the second foal of Lady Nora Mae (IRE), an unraced mare by Australia (IRE), himself by Galileo. Lady Nora Mae’s dam, Wanna (IRE), was a winner at three and placed three times, and has produced six runners and five winners from eight foals.
Her offspring include two-time winner Tannaaf, who won the Qatar Derby; Danjeu, a three-time winner in Australia; and Just Joan, a winner at three and dam of Group 3 winner Viareggio.
The third dam, Wannabe (GB), was a two-time winner and influential broodmare, producing 11 foals, 11 runners and seven winners. Her standout daughter was Wannabe Grand, winner of the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes and Group 2 Cherry Hinton Stakes, and runner-up in the 1000 Guineas. The wider family also includes Zetto Kirk, a seven-time winner in Japan; Wannabe Better, a four-time winner; Higher Truth, a four-time US winner; and Lady Wannabe, as well as Derby runner-up and Irish Derby third Ambiente Friendly.
The pedigree combines Oasis Dream’s proven speed with a deep, successful female family containing multiple stakes and Group winners.
Why Ollie?
TRAINER
Ollie Sangster has become one of our most successful training partners, with 24 winners for PV, a current win strike rate of over 19% and more than £307,000 in prize money since we first started working together.
From Manton he has trained some of our biggest success stories, headed by 8 time winner Tuco Salamanca, while continuing to deliver consistently with horses across the team.
Ollie’s own career has gone from strength to strength. He is already a Group-winning trainer, while Flight and Simmering finished second and third in the 2025 1,000 Guineas.
We have a very close, hands-on relationship with Ollie and the team at Manton, with excellent access to the yard and our horses. It’s a set-up we know extremely well and one that has been particularly successful for both PV and our owners.
Ollie also knows the type of horses we like to buy and he was particularly keen on this colt himself. He has once again retained a sizeable share — giving us even more confidence that this is exactly the right place for him.
A Strong Start
ROCHESTOWN STUD
All of our yearlings will begin their careers with PV Partner Dave Byrne at Rochestown Stud, where they will be broken in and pre-trained before joining their respective trainers towards the end of the year.
It’s a system that has worked really well for us. Dave has excellent facilities at Rochestown and it allows us to keep a very close eye on each horse through those important first few months. It also means we can give owners plenty of regular updates as they progress.
The plan is then for the yearlings to come over towards the end of the year, hopefully in time for another PV Yearling Parade, which proved so popular with owners last year, before they move on to their trainers.
Owners who would like to see their horse before then are also very welcome — we’re happy to arrange visits to Rochestown by request.
