About Jack
Jack is an accomplished racehorse trainer based in Dunboyne, County Meath who gained his license in 2017. He has since dedicated himself to building his own horse racing training establishment at Killarkin Stud, a family-owned property located just outside Dunboyne in County Meath, Ireland. With a rich history in horse breeding and consignment, Killarkin Stud has been a leading stud farm in the Northern Hemisphere for decades. Jack's grandfather, Walton Davison, purchased the farm in the late 1950s and bred numerous notable racehorses, including Group 1 winners Hot Spark and Steel Heart. Today, Jack continues the family legacy by bringing his own expertise to the farm, offering world-class training and breeding services to horse owners and enthusiasts alike.
With a degree in Agricultural Science and training from the prestigious Godolphin Flying Start program, Jack gained valuable experience working with some of the most renowned trainers in the industry such as Jim Bolger, Gai Waterhouse, Roger Varian, and Brendan Holland.
In August 2018, Jack sent out his first winner at Dundalk when his parents' homebred filly, Black Magic Woman, won the juvenile fillies' maiden. Since then, Jack's career has continued to flourish.

When asked why he became a trainer, Jack explains, "Since a young age, I've always enjoyed being involved in competitive sports. Once I decided to make a career in the thoroughbred horse industry, I could see myself gravitating towards the racing side of things to satisfy my competitive nature and passion for the thoroughbred racehorse. After gaining experience working with notable figures in the industry, I felt confident in my ability to train for myself.
