Lot 180 'A cracking Ardad Colt' and 'Eve Johnson Houghton'!
Owen, Dave & Zach met and spoke with Eve at Doncaster last week and gave her an order for a precocious 2 year old that she wanted to train.
She didn't disappoint and we couldn't be more delighted with her selection!
This Ardad yearling is impressively strong and carries himself with an extremely athletic walk, accompanied by a sound mind and temperament. He is a typical model that Eve, Anthony and her team consistently buy and outperform expectations with.
Ardad, a proven stallion of precocious 2YOs, is the number one source of Royal Ascot 2 year olds since his first crop ran, producing the likes of outstanding 3 time Group 1 winner ‘Perfect Power’ who is now standing at stud himself.
Eve & Anthony Bromley (Highflyer Bloodstock) have an excellent record at this sale of sourcing quality stock for very reasonable prices.
Eve herself has trained TWO Windsor Castle winners from this sale & we dream of this strong colt following in their Royal Ascot footsteps!

From the sales, our colt will be heading straight to Ireland, where along with our other yearlings, he will be pre trained by PV partner Dave Byrne at Rochestown Stud, before transferring to Eve's in January, ready to start his training. This partnership has worked extremely well for us in the past, ensuring we have complete control over the early development of our yearlings, and allowing us, and Eve, to closely monitor his progression and provide detailed owner updates.
