With 5 runners so far this month, we enter the final week of the month with a WINNER, second & third placed finishes💙🖤
🥇TUCO SALAMANCA 🥇

Private purchase TUCO SALAMANCA blitzed his opposition on Wednesday evening at Kempton in very impressive fashion. The time of the race was as impressive on the clock as it was on the eyes with the time being over 4 seconds quicker than the other division of the race.We would be hopeful this is just the beginning of an upward curve for what looks to be an exciting horse for his owners & Ollie Sangster.

🥈SABRIMENTO 🥈
A career best performance from 10,000gns online sale purchase Sabrimento saw him outrun his huge odds, as well as stablemate McKenna, only to be denied in the dying strides, in what looked to be a very competitive race for the grade.
🥉BRUCE BANNER🥉
Bruce returned to the scene of his recent victory and put in a solid performance, only to be beaten home by two lightly raced & improving horses.

Did you know...
Pompey Ventures & Ollie Sangster currently boast a 75% winning strike rate of unraced horse purchases becoming winners on the track!
This leads us perfectly on to some yearling talk...
‘He looks an early type’
The end of winter isn’t a million miles away and as we get even the smallest step closer to the start of spring and the beginning of the turf season, it’s hard not to be excited about the two year olds and how they are progressing. Our Dandy Man colt with Ollie could potentially be our first two year old on the track. He was a €6,000 yearling purchase who we had down as a big value shout at that price. After visiting Manton this week, Ollie’s feedback for our precocious son of Dandy Man was that he has taken everything in his stride so far and is likely to be one of his more forward two year olds this year.
After Tuco’s victory this week we’ve had new clients getting involved and this Dandy Man colt has proven popular, with only 25% remaining.
Overall, we’re very pleased collectively with the six two year olds we currently have in our ranks to go to battle with in 2025.
New faces arriving at Manton
Last week saw two new arrivals to our ever growing team at Ollie Sangster’s.

Road House comes from a very similar purchasing process as Tuco. A privately purchased unraced son of Kuroshio, he has completed his isolation period and Ollie & the team are getting stuck into him ready for a run in the next 4-6 weeks.
Profit Refused was a €45,000 purchase by founding partner Dave Byrne. This filly is an exciting future broodmare prospect with her Dam being a half relation to Godolphin global superstar REBEL’S ROMANCE. Read more in this Racing Post article.

Another successful month with only a small amount of runners on the track!
